our in-depth guide to the latest changes in WorldPay and how it impacts Lightspeed users
Introduction
It's essential for businesses to stay ahead of the curve, especially when it comes to payment solutions and integrated systems. In the spirit of continuous improvement and client satisfaction, we want to bring you up to speed on the latest updates concerning WorldPay's integration with Lightspeed.
What’s New with WorldPay?
Dedicated Support Line
WorldPay rolled out a 24/7 dedicated support line specifically for Lightspeed dealers in March. The support number (833-998-4733) is an important resource for troubleshooting and immediate assistance. The number is also listed in Lightspeed's Service Connect.
Click to Pay
WorldPay and Lightspeed offer a feature called 'Click to Pay,' making payments more convenient for your customers in the Service Module. Instructions for setting up 'Click to Pay' are in Service Connect. Enter 'Click to Pay' in the search bar within Service Connect.
This is only offered in the US currently in the Service Module. Development is underway to offer this in Canada as well as Parts, Sales and Rental for all Lightspeed dealerships.
Wireless Terminals
Wireless terminals have now been certified in the US and Canada. These devices allow dealers to process transactions both on-site and off-site at events and shows, adding a layer of convenience and versatility. Contact WorldPay to inquire about new wireless devices at productsalesteam@fisglobal.com
Netepay to Tripos Conversion
WorldPay is converting credit card processing from Netepay to Tripos Cloud solutions. There is no extra charge or fee increase for this conversion. The reason for this move is to unify every dealer on the same processing platform for better support and performance enhancements. Dealers that are still processing with Netepay are offered two free devices of their choice when they switch to Tripos through December 31, 2023.
Note that Lightspeed will cease the Netepay integration in Lightspeed after December 31, 2023. Contact WorldPay productsalesteam@fisglobal.com to begin the conversion process and order new devices.
Upcoming Features: Credit Card Surcharging
Lightspeed is working on new functionalities to accommodate dealers interested in passing credit card surcharges back to their customers. This feature is slated for a late 2023 release, initially in the Parts module, and will eventually be rolled out to Service, Sales, and Rental.
Rates and Fees
WorldPay's rates and fees are based on transaction volume of the individual dealership. These rates and fees can be renegotiated with WorldPay every year as the needs of your dealership change. WorldPay is the only Credit Card processing solution that is fully integrated with Lightspeed DMS and provides for cleaner accounting and easier processing directly from your Point of Sale.
Conclusion
Both Lightspeed and WorldPay are committed to enhancing the dealer experience, but there's always room for improvement. As we continue to gather feedback and push for better solutions, we highly appreciate the teamwork and cooperation of all parties involved.
